Theatre Express examinations / Lamda

LAMDA offers performance based examinations, carefully refined and developed over many years by experts in education, acting and communication.

In addition to being the largest Speech and Drama Board in the United Kingdom, LAMDA Examinations have a reputation for excellence across Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa and the United States.

Their mission is to:

• Improve standards in communication through the spoken word
• Foster an appreciation of literature and drama
• Acknowledge levels of achievement
• Provide a framework in which individual talent can grow

The examination itself provides candidates with an opportunity to:

Subjects cover solo and group examinations in acting, speaking of verse and prose, mime, spoken English, devising and musical theatre and higher level diplomas in performance studies, dramatic art and speech and drama education.
